Oh I’m very excited to still be part of the show. It’s been four
seasons and when I first started working on the show I
thought I was going to be there for half a season so four
years later I’m still part of it so yeah it’s great. And the show
is still a very good show, the ratings might be a bit less over
here but the quality of the show still remains very good, it’s
still one of the top shows, so for an actor to be in a show like
Heroes it’s easy and it’s not easy to be part of any TV show.
And you know down the line the show will stay in people’s
minds, will be in the history of television just because it
brought something new to TV.
How has your football been going?
The football’s been going ok actually; I still play with the
Hollywood United, unfortunately I play less and less as I’ve
been travelling so much, I spent maybe four or five months
outside of the country. One other thing which has happened
since the last time we spoke is that I was named an ambassador for the Haitian kids so that sort of gives me some responsibility and with that kind of title I was able to go to Washington DC and meet with the members of Congress just to speak up about the Haitian kids, just so we can get support to fund the programs which we are trying to fund in Haiti with my own organisation, Hollywood Unites for Haiti.
How did you get that role?
I don’t know! [laughter]. I was just sent it by the PADF which is the Pan American Development Foundation, it’s a huge organisation, and I believe last year or the year before the person that they had before me left so they were looking for another face to represent them and you know in the business there aren’t too many Haitian faces, so I guess that’s how my name came along, they thought I would be a good fit and I play a Hero on national television so it was a good hook to use that fact to help promote the campaign which is called “I too am Haiti” which is a campaign we started about 6 months ago to try and help the Haitian kids.
I’ve also been trying to get funds for my own charity Hollywood Unites for Haiti and it’s very difficult, both with the Private sector and the government so it’s a fight, it’s a battle, but it’s worth it.
