Did you feel a lot of pressure being asked to ‘fill in’ for a regular artist

of a comic series?

I’ve never worked on a regular, monthly series, but Marvel has had me
on a book a month schedule for the past few years. I think I could handle
a monthly assignment.

Having drawn Hercules and Amadeus Cho before did you find it easier
to draw them in this book?

Yes, I found it easiest to draw Herc and Amadeus because of my work on
Incredible Hercules. The truth is that I have really enjoyed working on
Mighty Avenger and drawing Herc and Amadeus again. I really like those two characters.

How did you find drawing the large cast of this issue (The Mighty Avengers, Cable and Young Avengers)?
 
I don’t mind drawing a lot of characters. I have had a lot of fun doing this work, drawing so many different characters in an issue. It helps me to improve my art.

Is the Titan monster in this book based on an already established character or did you design him yourself?

Titan is a character that already existed in the Marvel Universe, but I changed it a little. For example, the tentacles coming out of the back was not on the original.

How is it you got into the comic book business?

I've always liked comics. That's why I started drawing. And after a long time working in the world of animation and drawing comics that are not at all like superheroes, I decided to try my fortune at Marvel. Thanks to my agent, Shon C Bury, he managed to quickly find work at Marvel after working on an issue of Midnight for WildStorm.

You are one of Marvels 2009 ‘Young Guns’, how did you feel when you were named as one of these?

Well, I'm very excited! I never imagined that I could be a "Young Gun." Bearing in mind that there are many, many great Marvel artists, it was a huge surprise to me. I hope to be at the level of other Young guns.

Do you ever find that speaking a different first langue makes it harder for you in your job as a comic book artist?

Not a problem for me, through my agent gets a translator for the scripts. I also have the help of my agent, if there is anything I do not understand. I must say that now is not a language problem.

Did you enjoy drawing this use of Mighty Avengers?

Absolutely, I enjoyed drawing the Mighty Avengers. It has been a pleasure working with Dan Slott. H is a great writer.

Do you know what you are working on next?

Well, now I'm working on Avengers Initiative, I think being from # 26 to # 29. After the Initiative I’m not sure where I'll go, but I can not complain. I'm really happy at Marvel.
