work together well.
I think it's the mythology thing. A King, or a prince turned into a
frog. A long history. Also, I made it a point to talk to Walt
before I did anything and he gave his blessing. He's a class
act.
Is Lockheed not meant to be a spy for S.W.O.R.D.?
In this book, he realized he made a mistake and it may have
cost his best friend her life. He is sad and lonely when we
meet him.
Then there's Redwing and Zabu, would you like to add anything about them?
Redwing is that arrogant super hero. He thinks because he fought alongside Cap and Falcon, he's more of a hero than the others. Zabu is the take action kind of Sabretooth. Jumps right into the action.
There is one character who I think is missing from the team, Tippy-Toe.
Just because someone isn't on the team, doesn't mean they don't make an appearance or that they would not appear in future volumes if we get the chance.
Oh, is the story affecting animals on the planet as a whole?
Well, it'll affect everyone, but this is a quest and they come across other animals in their search.
It is a story I am looking forward to. I like the more unusual Marvel stories they seem to be doing yearly: Marvel Zombies, Marvel Apes and now this.
I tend to enjoy the non-mainstream titles. What's great is you can do stuff like this in the Marvel U and it doesn't seem totally out of place.
Ok one more question, can you say if we are going to see Villainous pets in this story?
Villainous animals, yes. Pets, not really. :)
The first thing I thought was "WTF!!! That’s insane", but with Chris on
board, it might be good, and it is. It is one of the coolest scripts I have
ever read, and it’s a good break from super heroes.
Did you do any research into poses of animals for the piece?
A lot, animals are all about corporal expression, the way they move,
especially because we have several different species in one book.
Did you have to do a lot of reading of old comics to get to know the
animals?
I already knew most of then but I read a few comics. My editor (Nate
Cosby) also sent me a lot a reference material, which make my job a lot easer.
Did you design Frog Thor?
Not really, I just used the original design, it is too good!
