to be part of a moment like that, especially
since i would never propose through my
own comic. It was great to be a part of it.
And she said yes!
Do you ever find it hard to come up with a
new idea for a joke?
I'm constantly coming up with ideas and
jokes and little musings throughout the
day. The hard part is making that thought
fit into a workable strip.
You deal with some pretty dark issues in
your strips, has there ever been a joke
you didn’t publish because you thought it
went too far?
Not really. We self-censor ourselves, but we still go pretty far over the line all the time.
You also make short videos in the same style of the comic, what made you want to launch these?
We've been doing animation for a long time, before starting the comic even. It just felt like a natural progression.
There was project to translate every comic in the archive into various languages, what has happened to this?
It's a daunting task to delegate that kind of work out to the right people. We'll probably do something with it eventually, but for the time being we've just got too many other things to focus on.
You have also taken part in an advertising campaign with Orange mobile, how did this come about?
One of the people involved was a fan and suggested they pitch the idea to us. We jumped at the opportunity and the rest is history.
You are planning to launch a new site called www.storydump.comich will host interactive stories, what exactly is an interactive story?
We've done a few on the site already, but felt a new site dedicated to them would be more fitting to the idea. Interactive stories are basically a user-involved story. It starts with a single situation and opens the story up to suggestions from visitors. One suggestion is chosen and the story progresses from there, each step being chosen by a visitor suggestion.
